Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by I Don't Know W — 07 May 2011
It's hard to find something wrong with this film. The story's great, the acting is done well, and you feel what the family's feeling, which, since the movie's about The Great Depression, it's a depressing movie.
If I had to decide what this movie's biggest flaw was there was a few over actors, but they disappear by the second half, so it's not to bad. Henry Fonda was outstanding in this role and the supporting actors were, for the most part (look above), really good.
Apparently, this movie is bring trashed by some people because of what I believe is to be something to do with propaganda, but I think people are analyzing it to much. Now, let me warn people who never saw it yet, it can be depressing at times, not exactly a tear jerker, but it makes you feel pretty sad.
Overall, it's a great, well done movie, a little depressing, but that just makes it more complete. Anything below 5 stars is not acceptable.
