Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Jon C — 27 Oct 2010
A genuine American classic.
'Grapes of Wrath' captures the hard times of the Okies' migration to the West looking for work.
Henry Fonda's performance is unforgettable.
There's so much emotion the film conveys from hope, faith, dreams, redemption, and human sacrifice.
Everyone's character depends on one another to survive and keep their spirits alive.
There's also alot of social and philosophical messages mixed into the whole backstory.
The movie gets better the more you get invested into the story and with our main protagonists.
