Henery Fonda portrays the every man that is down on his luck. Jane Darwell is a front-runner for Best Supporting Actress of all time as the matriarch of the dirt poor un cash and luck family. John Carradine plays the fall-from-faith former pastor and is flawless in the portaryal.
A deeply philosopical and touching film.
