Review of The Granny (1995) by Orlok W — 12 Dec 2010
A rollicking, low-brow, and extremely high-camp horror-comedy with a rabidly scenery-chewing Stella Stevens (In a part originally to have been essayed by Shelley Winters-) dishing out delicious one-liners a la Freddie Krueger as the recriminating- revenant wreaking revenge on the avaricious heirs responsible for her demise.
Admittedly a sleazy, cheesy exercise in cartoon-like gore & gratuitous nudity, this is one of my many guilty pleasures, due to Ms Stevens's incredibly animated performance, as well as Shannon Whirry's bountiful physical charms! Simply crap-tastic!!
