Review of The Grandmaster (2013) by Conor B — 01 Sep 2013
A really gorgeous Kung Fu movie about an historical figure; Bruce Lee's teacher (although Bruce Lee does not figure in this). This is sort of typical of some Chinese films in that it is very visual and the plot, which is there, is secondary to the look of things.
The fight scenes are more for beauty than violence and the romantic scenes are played without physical contact. Not for everyone I'm sure, but well worth the time and money to see.
