Review of The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) by Jeff R — 24 Feb 2015
Outstanding in so many ways. Every frame of the film exudes charm, and Wes Anderson masterfully uses symmetry and camera placement as a narrative tool. I love how expectations are established and defied, and the film never really gets dark.
It's just a series of simple pleasures from beginning to end. Bravo.
