Witty, charming, and a little over the top... it's got all the beats you'd come to expect with any Wes Anderson movie. Ubiquitous with his work, EVERY scene here has been framed and decorated with such impeccable aesthetics - seriously, I'd gladly take any given still shot and hang it on my wall somewhere.

Eye candy aside, Anderson proves time and again that he has the balance of "style vs substance" down pat, as these exuberant characters bring personality and emotion such an eccentric story that is - at it's core - all about friendship and nostalgia.

There is a satisfying amount of depth to be found in "The Grand Budapest Hotel", which makes for both a very fun and heartwarming stay. Repeat visits are welcome here.
