Outstanding. From the wonderful score to the fabulous models, the stop-motion animation and astonishing sets, this is a delight that repays repeat viewings. The visual gags and flourishes come so fast that it's near-impossible to catch them all the first time, and the script is brilliantly inventive from start to finish.

This film spans decades, with a cast to die for who all play their roles admirably, even in small scenes, but led by the brilliant Ralph Fiennes, who mixes up effete fawning with jet-black humour and hilarious profanity. He's laugh-out-loud funny in every scene.

I'm not an aficionado of every Wes Anderson film, so I'm not (yet?) tired of his style and quirks. His pacing is great, and the symmetrical framing is marvellous to behold. I loved loved loved this.
