Review of The Grand (2007) by Kyle B — 01 Oct 2008
This documentary style shoot was reminiscent of Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, This is Spinal Tap and Best in Show. I got some BIG laughs out of it. Each character was sick and twisted in some sort of way (ahhh humanity) and I loved seeing all the character building.
There were loads of improvisation being skillfully accomplished. FABULOUS CASTING! Any time I get to see Michael McKean at work is a good time for me! It blows my mind that he once played Lenny (of Lenny and Squiggy) in the TV show Laverne and Shirley!
