Review of The Graduate (1967) by Ken S — 14 Jan 2013
A young man graduates college and has no idea what to do with his life, soon he is seduced by and begins having an affair with the older Mrs. Robinson, the wife of his father's business partner. But after he has been set up on a date with her daughter, he begins to have real feelings for her.
..which doesn't go too well when she learns of his affair with her own mother. The film is well made, and I like it...but it isn't nearly as excellent as it's reputation has built it up to be.
I personally prefer other Dustin Hoffman lead features, but I can see why this had the impact it did at the time and propelled him to stardom.
