Review of The Graduate (1967) by Allen R — 25 Dec 2013
The interior meanings of the film are wonderfully and subtly laid under the surface plot and reinforced through some magnificently groundbreaking cinematography, patience of pacing through its editing, and some superbly subdued acting.
While the cinematography wasn't without its moments of weakness, these weak moments simply stem from experimentation - the same exact experimentation that also led to its moments of sheer greatness.
It is this ambitious willingness to take risks and to try new things that really separates "The Graduate" from most other films.
