Review of The Graduate (1967) by Jake M — 06 Apr 2011
Meh. The music and dry comedy were the best parts. His awkwardness just made me uncomfortable throughout. I know that's what it was supposed to be, but it still affected me caring about the character.
There was quite a bit of the peculiarity that I hate about movies from the late 60s-late 70s. The acting was acceptable but not exceptional. There were times where you could see Dustin smiling because he knew that something he did was funny.
Like when he put his hand on the bell to stop the desk clerk from ringing it again. He certainly improved throughout his career. I enjoyed it but can't say I liked it as much as most people seem to.
