Review of The Graduate (1967) by Paul W — 12 May 2011
How have I never seen this film from start to end? Simply amazing. Ben's isolation and angst is so familiar, and to have the connection to love nearly severed in such a dramatic way. It's so completely unrealistic, but wonderful at the same time.
Ben is unquestionably the finest role I've ever seen Dustin Hoffman play. He was perfectly confused and indecisive. Just... perfect. I loved the character and his portrayal. The story is so outrageous, hilarious, and tragic all at once that it has to end in reckless, youthful love.
A+.
