Review of The Graduate (1967) by Joan S — 14 Jun 2011
Great movie, I wish young actors these days showed as much promise as young Dustin Hoffman. But then again, young actors don't get lead rolls in movies now, only models do. Anyways, the awkwardness of this movie had me laughing from the get go. I was a little surprised Mrs. Robinson never redeemed herself, she went from slut to fucking demon at the end of the movie. Also, when did Dustin Hoffman fall madly in love with the daughter. A hard on switch just seemed to be flipped and next thing you know he was madly in love. I also wish he would of put up more of a fight when he was accused of raping Mrs. Robinson. I mean, I have never been falsely accused of rape, but if I ever was I would fucking flip my shit. Dustin on the other hand though: "wha wha?" *casual* "noooo".
Anyways, great movie.
