Review of The Graduate (1967) by Liam B — 23 Oct 2012
A definite classic with engaging performances and a fantastic soundtrack. That said, the film doesn't maintain the same funny and exciting energy captured in the first half of the film as the second half descends into a more sad love story that never fully convinces the viewer to feel sympathy for the protagonist.
The graduate is no doubt a must-see movie only it may seem slightly overrated in legacy as its meaning doesn't seem to go much further than a awkward meditation on young relationships.
