Review of The Graduate (1967) by Chad D — 12 Feb 2013
Dustin Hoffman plays a thouroughly unlikable chap, supposedly just graduated at 21 but looks 30, being seduced by despirite cougar Anne Bancroft, supposedily 40+ but actually late 30s with tons of dodgy makeup. Somehow her daughter, played by the delightful Katharine Ross, falls for the boy, even after finding out who his older woman is. The final scene has been much parodied by better comedies.
The soundtrack is mostly Simon and Garfunkle, which is nice.
