Review of The Graduate (1967) by Gavin P — 15 May 2013
I'm sure it was more interesting and controversial back in the 60s, but now it just seems quite drawn out and boring. There's so many long, pointless shots - and Hoffman being awkward for no reason - that I wanted to yell at the screen! There's almost no love story between him & Elaine, so it's hard to fathom his actions.
Not the worst love story, but certainly not the best! And I love Simon & Garfunkel, but I don't see why they had to use every song 3-4 times...
