Review of The Gracefield Incident (2017) by Federico B — 07 Jan 2018
The acting is distractingly bad. The idea is too mundane and overdone to be creative. The painfully bland dialogue only makes this movie feel even longer. The moronic attempts to justify recording, are simply insulting.
This had no reason to be found footage, and may have been slightly better if shot in a more traditional style. Instead, you spend the entire movie focusing on the fact that we're supposed to believe a minuscule camera, powered by a watch battery, and placed in a prosthetic eye, gets perfect quality sound and imagery.
Camera placements are far too convenient, and often inconsistent. When people say they hate found footage movies, it's because of garbage like this.
