Review of The Gospel of John (2014) by Austin N — 08 Apr 2017
This Gospel of John portrays the life of Jesus Christ, as written in the Gospel of John. It was a very long movie, and was hard to sit through all at once, but it was a good movie. Through him all things are made, and without him nothing is made, is the lead off of the movie, and that is exactly what the movie is about, that without Jesus Christ we would have nothing. John was the man sent from God, to witness the light of the baby Jesus Christ. If you believed in him you were a child of God. John goes out and tells everyone about Baby Jesus. He gave his testimony to everyone. "The one who comes after me surpasses me". God's chosen one. It shows the event of Jesus turning water into wine at the wedding that he and his mother were invited to. This movie is basically a living version of the Bible. It is bringing the words of Jesus to life. It really helps you to understand some of the events better to see them. Parts of the movie are very hard to follow, and you have to really pay attention, but it is very informative. It talks about how people were ashamed to face Jesus, because they didn't want him to see their downfalls, or sins. He explained to them that he is not here to judge them but to forgive them and baptize them. The only thing that would have made this movie better would be that they not have a narrator as much. Let the actor's playout the movie completely. It made it a little hard to follow from time to time.
This relates to World religion, because it is basically Christianity in movie form, it brings to life the word of the Bible. The life of Jesus Christ.
