Review of The Gospel (2005) by James H — 02 Jan 2006
This is a perfect example of how to make a bad film. The editing is horrendous, amateurish cinematography, poorly acted by all. Sloppy uninspiring direction by Rob Hardy. (Ed Wood - move over!) There are goofs all through the film.
To make matters worse, the singing isn't even very good and the choreography is downright bad. The sound is poor. Everything about the film is poor. It drags, making it's 111 minute length seem more like 1111 minutes.
A cliche ridden mess. The DVD even includes deleted scenes, for those into self torture.
