Man, why didn't I watch this movie when I was a kid? Some people have all the luck.
I mean, pirate adventures, hidden treatures, boobie traps, Cyndi Lauper, AND the awesome kid from Indiana Jones?! Eleven-year-old me would've loved this movie! Unfortunately, eleven-year-old me was not a film hipster that watched cult classics for fun, so instead, the me in my 20's is the one that gets to enjoy it.
Oh well. Either way, The Goonies is still a terrific movie, one that is visually dazzling and endlessly quotable. It's just a really, really fun time at the movies.
Also, Brand, God put that rock there for a purpose, and I'm not so sure you should move it.
