Review of The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009) by Cat F — 25 Feb 2010
A massively disappointing film. The trailer literally had all the remotely funny parts of the movie, and even those were hardly 'laugh out loud' memorable quotes you would expect from a film which plucks its cast from much more successful comedies (such as Ken Jeong from The Hangover and David Koechner from Anchorman).
Expecting the same breed of humour as the aforementioned films, I was incredibly let down. Will Ferrell's cameo is pathetic, pointless and ridiculous in a bad way - this film could have been another good comedy which people would quote years later, but no.
Very two-dimensional predictable characters and a plot which dipped into stupidity make this film embarassing to watch.
