Review of The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009) by Daren M — 04 Jun 2010
I wanted to like this. The cast is great. Anything that lets Jeremy Piven have fun is a good thing, surely. But after 30 promising minutes of set up and introductions the film completely, completely falls apart.
Talent and promising characters are wasted left, right and centre by lazy writing and loose directing. The film doesn't make any sense, doesn't seem to have any aim and goes nowhere. You might get a few chuckles out of it if you're high but otherwise this looks a lot better in trailer form.
