Review of The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009) by Nathan H — 15 Oct 2010
Sometimes a movie can be funny without being good. This is one of those times. The plot is cliched as they come and there is not a single character in the movie that is believable. We only watch to see what these over-the-top-charactures are going to do next, and in most cases, it is something enjoyable.
Of course, they're were some drawbacks to the mostly solid humor. I wasn't happy to see every character enter a scene (I'm looking at you Ed Helms). Plus, they relied too often on potty humor and assuming that adding the F-Word to any line is going to make it funny.
Still, it did make me laugh. Which is rare for a movie without Jack Black in it.
