Review of The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009) by Aldo C — 16 Jul 2011
A satisfactory comedy with a premise that was pretty original. I liked how it lightly touched on life issues like family, guilt and loneliness, without becoming too serious and killing the humour. It maintained a good balance between sensible plot and outrageous comedy.
It followed a good comedic formula, featuring a unique bunch of characters with their own objectives and back-stories. I really enjoyed Rob Riggie's performance as the giant manchild, I thought it was hysterical how Babs kept hitting on him.
It was lined with some good jokes and funny scenes. Overall a solid comedy but nothing very memorable.
