Review of The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009) by Edward K — 07 Nov 2011
I forgot the this movie was even made. The laughs were essentially non-existent; the only chuckle I remember is the alligator scene.
Jeremy Piven plays "dog-whisperer" for a car dealership and attempts to save a fizzed dealership from going belly up, but guess what? He finds love, and now he finds himself in an attempt to kill 2 birds with 1 stone: to save the car lot and win the woman of his dreams.
This movie was just another raunchy notch on the ol' belt of movies that depict an easily misunderstood human being and slowly throughout, he progresses his true colors underneath the skin, all while finding romance. Probably a movie I'll never see again. Piven might have sold a few cars, but he didn't sell me in this one.
