Even after watching this movie about a million times, I still don't think that you could understand it completely. Very complex, slow, and long (just short of 3 hrs), "The Good Shepherd" is definitely not for the faint of heart.
If you can get yourself to sit down for a day to watch this movie a few times, it is actually a decent film. Damon does an excellent job of acting in this movie, but that does not make up for the screenplay and slow progression of the story.
Requires patience to fully enjoy.
