Review of The Good Shepherd (2006) by John K — 10 Jun 2009

There are some very good things about this film; solid performances, beautifully shot with some interesting bits of plot, however it is so confusing. The sound overlap in some scenes is just too much, and too much dialogue gets lost.

I had a really hard time keeping characters straight and following the larger plot. Much of the politics were lost on me as well. But the cinematography made up for most of the ambiguities. It's a bit too long however, by about a 1/2 hour.
