Review of The Good Shepherd (2006) by Martyn E — 04 Jan 2010
De Niro directs this sloooooow burner, which does have a great cast and plot. But, for me, things just don't move along fast enough. The Untouchables this is not. Infact, save your money and go buy that and a copy of Pacino's 'Recruit' instead.
Too many confusing flashbacks (and forwards) make things even more drawn out and confusing. A film for a Sunday afternoon, when only Donnie Darko or some other cack is on telly....!
