Well this movie has a shot to win the Oscar for 'Most Gloomy or Depressing Full Length Feature.' I rank it up with 'Perfect Storm' in this category.
It is a well done movie giving you some amount of history around the OSS and CIA. Matt Damon's character lives the gloomiest, grayest, and saddest ending of any movie I have seen in quite some time.
Worth seeing but be prepared for max-gloomy.
