Review of The Good Shepherd (2006) by Rosemary L — 09 Jan 2010
The Good Shepherd.
I got a bit lost at 1st and then once I understood this was essentially a film about the CIA I stopped trying 2 hard and it was alright.
Not much dialogue and as a consequence got that feeling of film made for those with short attention spans. Angelina is barely in it. Matt just kind of beavers his way through with every body giving him everything on a plate. One wonders if he was employed to simply appear, speak and disappear until the next scene. Either way, I didn't really care about anyone in it and the drip of a son who loses future pregnant fiancé at the end serves as a reminder of what these studios will do to try and engage the audience in a last ditch attempt at ratings. Didn't work for me!
