Review of The Good Lie (2014) by Rachel H — 19 Jun 2015
I found this a really insightful look into the world of a displaced person from childhood right through. The themes of sacrifice, family and faith which ran through the movie flew in the face of a lot of the Western banality the Lost Boys face in America.
They wanted to break out of a broken system - not work in meaningless jobs if it meant existing alone. A real challenge to the pursuit of happiness, whatever that means!
