Review of The Good Lie (2013) by Jimmy H — 30 Sep 2014
Thus is a tough movie to watch. A group of children flee the destruction of their village and murder of their families walking a thousand miles from S Sudan to a Kenyan refugee camp.
Cut to 2001 and they are chosen by Christian charities to come to the US. There are some amusing fish out of water scenes and touching scenes of the relationships that these Lost Boys develop with their sponsors in the US. There is some fine acting. There's a message as well about family, loyalty and love.
