Review of The Good Lie (2013) by Micah C — 02 Nov 2015
Great movie around human atrocities in Africa and the trials of American immigrants in the post 9/11 era. Fantastic performances all the way around. Not quite as gut wrenching as Hotel Rwanda and others as it was more focused on the refugee elements as the Sudanese "family" navigated assimilating to the American "dream".
Very well done. Did not gloss over the atrocities, but focused more on the human element.
