Two skillful and interesting actors in a so-so film that is yet another “take” on the repercussions of World War II – as if we needed yet another one. I’ve liked Bill Condon’s films in the past (for example, “Mr.
Holmes” and “Gods and Monsters”), but this one was not up to his standards either in style or story.
