Review of The Good Girl (2002) by Anna C — 12 Sep 2010
I really enjoyed watching "The Good Girl" and think its Jennifer Aniston's best role yet. Aniston plays a 30 year old unhappily married woman who works at a discount store. She is bored with her job, and she thinks her husband is a "pig".
Her husband works as a house painter with his best friend Bubba (another loser) and they both smoke too much pot when they should be working. Aniston's character becomes friends with a new cashier at her work (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), and eventually they become lovers.
John C. Reilly is a scene stealer as Aniston's husband. The ending is not one I cared for, but I still really liked this movie.
