Review of The Good German (2006) by David T — 19 Jan 2008

I'm very suprised at all the negative reviews this film has recevied! I thought it was a beautifully shot atmospheric film noir thriller...it shows that even after the war thier was an under belly of corruption and deceit that all party's were willing to bury.

I thought Tobey Maguire was very good as abit of a sleezy untrustworthy magget compared to his clean look in the Spiderman trilogy & George Clooney & Cate Blanchett didn't put a foot wrong.

The look & the feel of the movie add to it's dark underworld-esc charm...i highly rate this piece of cinema...a joy from start to finish!
