Review of The Good German (2006) by Alex K — 14 Apr 2008
The Good German is a great send-up to the film noir classics of the past. The plot wasn't quite gritty enough to measure up to The Maltese Falcon, but the cinematography is spot on to capture that time period.
The final scene is even a homage to Casablanca. Cate Blanchett proves once again that she can transform into any character be it Katharine Hepburn or Bob Dylan.
