Review of The Good Earth (1937) by Munkhtur E — 06 Jun 2010
I read pearl s bucks book good earth and thought this movie will be a great addition to watch after finished reading the book. But iras very disappointed with the movie how after the first 20 mins it stops following the story in the book.
The movie director altered the story a lot. For example when o LAN finds treasure during chaos it was very different and it does not show many negative side of Wang Lu ending is also way different.
