Review of The Good Dinosaur (2015) by Krystal L — 06 Jun 2016

The animation was amazing, the entire movie it was always just "wow" consistently. That being said, I'll likely never watch it again unless my 5 year old insists, which is unlikely because her outlook is much like mine; the movie was sad, her own words were also that it was thrilling but only because Arlo and Spot survived all of the terrible scenarios they found themselves in.

From a parental point of view I probably wouldn't have let her see it if I had pre screened it like I usually do before letting her watch a movie. Death was a prominent plot point, harshness and loss in general were in my opinion the basis of the entire film, and definitely some scenes we both wish she hadn't watched.
