Review of The Good Dinosaur (2015) by Kevin R — 24 Mar 2016
Sometimes you have to go through your fear to see the beauty on the other side.
In this world the dinosaurs live more like domesticated humans while the humans roam the countryside as wild creatures. A young dinosaur, hoping to become an independent manly dinosaur one day, embarks on an adventure to help his people and takes on a human child as an unlikely companion to help prove his bravery and save his race.
"If you're pulling my leg I'm going to eat yours.".
Peter Sohn, who worked on The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Monsters University, and Finding Nemo, delivers The Good Dinosaur in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture is just okay and straightforward. The animation style and characters are just above average but not as compelling as other films in this genre.
"The storm provides.".
I grabbed this from Red Box to watch with my daughter the week it came out and we recently watched it together. This was a bit disappointing and I thought it would have been better. This is a rare recent Disney movie not worth purchasing but it is worth viewing once with your child.
"We've been watching you.".
Grade: C+.
