Review of The Good Catholic (2017) by Masterdirk — 08 Sep 2017
The obligatory modern style of 'humour' and the way of speaking of the lady really annoyed me. Childish, shallow, copying the rest of the movies these days. It made that I did not feel a connection between the two.
Only a fake shallow, connection, based on form. And that made that I didn't believe that Daniel actually started caring about her. Comparing that shallow 'love' connection to the love and devotion one could feel for god in the spiritual life and his ultimate choice that follows out of that makes me think that he never felt anything in his practice.
And that I have been looking at a nonsense story, about somebody who shouldnt have been in church in the first place.
