Review of The Golden Compass (2007) by Michelle E — 09 Aug 2011

I thought it did well in keeping with the book. Although some parts-especially the ending-were a little mixed up......everything in the movie happened in the book, just not write in the same order. The battle scene was write good, though, so I could see why they moved it to the end.

I also think the under-lying theme of the church (or should I say anti-church) shows a lot more in the movie. There's really no doubt about it from the movie. And the true ending definitely does not lend itself to a sequel like the book does.
