Review of The Golden Compass (2007) by Name G — 06 Jan 2011
To kick off 2011, I decide to review a film in which people say it was anti-catholic and based on the first installment in a book series. This is my review on, "The Golden Compass". I also have'nt read the book so I won't be making any comparisons.
The film has some nice visuals, the characters were interesting, and the acting was good. Especially having Ian McKellen as the voice of Lorek the polar bear. The problem's I have with this film is that the movie was pretty boring and the character development was really weak. We only get to see some of the character's in 3 or 6 scene's. Overall, "The Golden Compass", is a decent adaptation. But if you're a fan of the series or someone looking for a good movie to watch, just rent it.
3/5.
