Review of The Golden Compass (2007) by Gracie M — 28 Aug 2010

I did not enjoy the book due to the point of view it was written from. They removed this viewpoint from the movie, which you would think would make it more enjoyable for those that objected, but instead, it just watered it down.

The characters lost the principles that defined them, and their personalities were changed. It would have been better to have either left the storyline alone, and people like me who didn't agree could just watch something else, or to have not made it at all.

They overly compromised, and the result was a disjointed and diluted storyline.
