Review of The Golden Compass (2007) by Aurko M — 22 Feb 2011
I can't compliment a film based on an atheistic, anti-religious viewpoint. It's so drastically hardline on this viewpoint, especially having read the book, that I can not find much in this movie to praise.
It falls short of the complexities and detail of the book, as I knew it would, but leaves out what I would think are key points. Don't be fooled by the ensemble cast, this isn't worth the time.
