Review of The Golden Compass (2007) by Zuhairi Harry R — 15 Nov 2011
Impressively lavish and appealing. The premise is so compelling that it is easy to overlook how empty it is, but is reclaimed by impressive moments in both the performances and effects. However the dialog asks many questions and fails to answer most of them.
A narrator would have behooved this film.
