Review of The Golden Compass (2007) by Zelyaine T — 25 Dec 2012

I'm afraid to say that I'm a bit more disappointed with the movie than not. The progression of the film rushes and drags at inconsistent paces that aren't always very effective anyway. A lot happens in the book, and I think they tried their best to fit all of it into the movie, but it felt rushed and I'm not so sure it worked as well as it could.

The acting was alright but not prime. However, one good thing I would say about the film is that it was quite an excellent visual interpretation of the novel.
