Review of The Golden Compass (2007) by Don S — 08 Jul 2011
This has some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen in any movie. The CGI looked like CGI; very unconvincing. The story was somewhat convoluted and had no ending. This was like a prelude to the next movie, which I'd hope has a complete story (not that I'm going to watch it).
The acting is decent but not stellar. I'd look elsewhere for your entertainment. This only gets 2 stars because of the aforementioned scenery.
