Review of The Golden Child (1986) by Todd L — 06 May 2011
It's pretty obvious that Paramount had a script for a supernatural adventure flick, then someone decided to make it a vehicle for Eddie Murphy...allowing him to improvise at moments not crucial to conveying the plot.
The end result is a little strange, but still fun. There's no way anyone could mistake this movie as anything but a product of the 80's...it's synth score is great.
